Hey there. My name is Robynn and I’m an introvert. Writing a blog is one of the last things I ever pictured myself doing. The thought of sharing the things in my heart with the world is daunting to say the least. And yet, here I am.
I am writing this blog because I have believed lies that are pervasive in our culture and I know other women believe them too. I am writing because I have lived much of my life small and insecure and unhappy with myself, but through the grace of God that is changing. I have found a new sense of freedom and hope – and with that, purpose – purpose that compels me to be here, sharing it all with you. I firmly believe in letting your mess become your message. We all go through things. Hard things. Messy things. It’s when we get on the other side of some of these things, when we’ve begun to heal, that we can pause, take a breath, turn around and start to cry out freedom and encouragement for those who are behind us, still pushing through. This is me cheering you on. Don’t give up! Keep going!
I’m passionate about living life well – not perfectly.
Emotional and physical health are two of the many things I’m passionate about. I also love to cook and bake – and feed people. My husband and three kids get to lick a lot of spoons. Our family loves to hike and go for bike rides – and go on road trips in search of even better hiking and bike rides. I’m a graphic designer by trade and get to use those talents for our fresh and fun church in Leduc, Alberta, Canada – City Life Church (seriously, if you’re in the area, you need to check it out). I’m passionate about living life well – not perfectly. I’m passionate about waking up on Monday mornings with a sense of purpose:
“So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him.”
So hey, I’m glad you’re here! If you’re like me and on a journey to find peace with food and your body, keep reading! There is hope and encouragement to be found in these pages. If you’re new to this blog, I’d encourage you to check out the Start Here page. Let’s tackle this path together. If you know anyone who would benefit from this content, please invite them to join us by sharing it!
